More or less 7 weeks on Fuerteventura – and probably the windiest I’ve ever experienced.
Many days with 45–55 knots, nonstop power from sunrise to sunset.
Perfect conditions to test the new Duotone Idol 3.2 Freestyle Prototype – and it truly impressed me even with my mid size Freestyle Boardd (88l). The board and sail combination worked incredibly well in those hardcore conditions. Ducks were surprisingly controllable, the pop felt clean and explosive, and even in the strongest gusts, the setup stayed balanced. A 340 mast turned out to be essential for getting the perfect feel and reactivity.
This trip was all about pushing limits while being in full workmode. Fuerteventura proved to be perfect for the European Summer, as you can go for late sessions every night from 18.00-21.00, when no one is working. Pushing the limits in Risco is still very hard, mentally and physically. Every session demanded full focus, but that’s exactly what I love about sailing there.
During my summer on Fuerte, I was flying in and out for the final Formula E races — action-packed weeks between Berlin and London. Switching from the desert winds to the electric energy of city circuits was surreal, but also deeply inspiring. The precision and intensity behind Porsche’s Team World Championship title felt like another kind of storm — fast, focused, and full of emotion.
Now, as mid-August arrives, it’s time to head home for a short reset.
After weeks of desert wind, endless sessions, and the raw power of Fuerteventura, I’m shifting gears again — trading sails for cameras, sand for mountains, and wind for ideas.

The next stop is Austria, where I’ll spend the next four weeks working on new film projects and beginning the creative process for Reborn on Water – The Second Life.
It’s a story that means a lot to me — about strength, recovery, and the deep connection we all share with the water. Bringing this vision to life will take focus, emotion, and patience — the same elements that define a perfect windsurf session.
It feels like life keeps moving in circles — from wind to motion, from water to asphalt, from adrenaline to reflection.
One week I’m flying through 50 knots on the North Shore of Fuerteventura, the next I’m filming the precision and power of Formula E in the heart of Berlin or London. And somehow, both worlds fuel each other. The ocean teaches you instinct and flow — racing teaches you precision and discipline. Together, they create balance.
Soon, the circle will close again — with the next chapter waiting in Brazil.
New winds, new faces, new stories to tell.
From the desert winds of Fuerteventura to the mountains of Austria, and soon to the tropical heat of South America — the journey keeps moving.
The landscapes change, but the drive remains the same.
The journey continues, Beyond the Wind.
