What a summer! After an amazing summer already last year on the island Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean, I decided to go there again. I almost spent two months at a town on the north west Coast called Kalpitiya. Thanks to Upul and his Team from Desilva Windresort (www.surfschool-srilanka.com) who helped me a lot. The conditions were a wide mix – from perfect flat with strong wind to gusty 5.2 pumping in chop. But I really have to say that I was on the water pretty much all the time just with a few friends or even alone – which I don’t know on which other spot you could have this in summer.
